Happy New Ye- FIRE!!!! @.o

           


Well, we've started off the year with fireworks.  And nearly burnt the house down, incidentally. @.@  

I do mean that literally, actually - we are minus one front paddock from where the header started a fire!  Hopefully the machinery is mostly alright, it moved afterwards and seemed to mostly be functional, bar a few tyres and belts here and there.  So, not burnt toast - you don't call out the fire brigade for burnt toast.  XD

Thought we'd lose the house for a bit, as the flames were roaring well in that direction (well within 100m, I'd say), and our house is a bit of a tinderbox in build.

Well, I always wondered what it would be like if we had a fire around the house, and now I know!  LOL - wonder what my new sister-in-law thought of her last day (Clayton) holidaying on the farm

But the excitement has mostly died down now, and most of us are sleeping it off.  Myself, I have cleared my inbox to about 1400 messages.  Better than 2000! @_@

And I have been spending the last few days rearranging my room! (Yes, I should be doing other things, but sometimes you just get an urge you can't put off >.> )  And I now have a small studio in there.  It was becoming impossible to function without a bit of properly dedicated space.

It's a bit of a wonder how I'm fitting everything in there, though: studio (with large easel), bed, three bookcases, piano, filing cabinet, bureau drawer set, full-length mirror   The room wouldn't be 3m x 3m, it's actually quite small.

Obviously living in a caravan teaches you something about conserving space
