Alright, to be fair, I'm not actually living in a lake.  It's just that the town I live in was recently flooded, as has what feels like the majority of Australia.  (And most of the water has gone down by now anyway )

A week straight of rain falling on the roof does absolutely nothing for your washing basket though, I've discovered.

Dammit, this is AUSTRALIA, it's not supposed to rain here!

If nothing else, I've learnt that I, and I suspect a lot of other Aussies (particularly of my drought-accustomed generation) do not deal well with large quantities of water coming out of the sky.  What in the world are you supposed to do with it??

Status: back at university/ other educational institution. (Is it a coincidence that mental asylums are referred to as institutions?)

Most enjoying: finally having studio space at said institution

Regretting: The lack of anything interesting to write about... >.<

Has recently achieved: The successful design of a friend's birthday invitations! Yeay!

Okaaaay, seems I'm only ever on here during holidays now... need to work on that   But WTH?  I have a sub again, so return of the stamps.

This is why facebook is so pointless - because people write all the pointless things they're doing and have nothing to say.  Not that the sheer pointlessness isn't amusing.

*Sigh*.  I'd honestly have more to say, but I just read a rather depressing story.  I don't like depressing...  I might draw something (REALLY?  You'd NEVER guess I'm a so-called ARTIST?!)  Buuuut there's a bit of left-over work I need to get done.  Including finishing poor 's design that I promised a month or two ago   It's nearly done!  Colouring required.



My patience for work has gone out the window.  I need to spend more time on a few individual pieces to get it back again (patience has always been a commodity I'm short on - it took me years to develop enough for my work and now it's gone again!!! )

The problem with studying art has proved to be that my skill has increased, but my concentration has decreased.

Working on it!  Working on it!

Edit:  another thing I've been thinking about.  I reread yuumei's '1000 words'... still both incredibly beautiful and moving.  But still trying to think - "What the heck am I trying to say with my art?"  I tend to focus on skill and rendering, and I think I'll always find those very important, but sometimes (if not generally), my own work lacks meaning...

Soooo, there's a lot to do and that has to be done.  Item one, reconnect scanner somehow and POST what you HAVE.  Item two, renew your subscription.  I miss my stamps ^_~

Have started up a blog to operate as a journal (gournal?  I don't think so... =_= ) for my TAFE class.  May connect my dA profile and it randomly at various points.

Also, must complete that flippity walk cycle I started.  I is a beginner animator   When did that happen...

Plus that song thing...  Just how many projects do I have running at any one time, anyway?  No wonder I can't stand having still fingers...
