Alright, to be fair, I'm not actually living in a lake. It's just that the town I live in was recently flooded, as has what feels like the majority of Australia. (And most of the water has gone down by now anyway :D )
A week straight of rain falling on the roof does absolutely nothing for your washing basket though, I've discovered.
Dammit, this is AUSTRALIA, it's not supposed to rain here!
If nothing else, I've learnt that I, and I suspect a lot of other Aussies (particularly of my drought-accustomed generation) do not deal well with large quantities of water coming out of the sky. What in the world are you supposed to do with it??
